Job Summary

QLM is looking to bring in Site Service Technicians in Minden, LA. Employee will perform current assigned daily work duties in accordance their current position. Upon request and as needed, employee will be required to flex from present job tasks and travel to various project locations and conduct site services. Tasks include maintenance repairs, punch, and warranty work (Call Tickets), and offload/setup (self-performed & supervision-only) on all Fibrebond manufactured products in the field. PAY RANGE: $19-$31 BASED ON EXPERIENCE AND POTENTIAL PER DIEM ($100) PENDING LOCATION.

QLM is looking to bring in Site Service Technicians in Minden, LA. Employee will perform current assigned daily work duties in accordance their current position. Upon request and as needed, employee will be required to flex from present job tasks and travel to various project locations and conduct site services. Tasks include maintenance repairs, punch, and warranty work (Call Tickets), and offload/setup (self-performed & supervision-only) on all Fibrebond manufactured products in the field. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Repairs concrete.
  2. Repairs sheet metal building construction.
  3. Repairs and replaces floors, wall coverings, ceiling materials.
  4. Performs various electrical and mechanical tasks.
  5. Performs paint and caulk or exterior sealant repairs.
  6. Performs roof repairs (Aldo roofing and metal roofing).
  7. Complies with all state and government regulations while on the job.
  8. Ensures safety of co-worker(s).
  9. Up to 75% travel required (via road travel in Fibrebond company vehicles or flights).

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  1. Fibrebond manufacturing experience required. Familiar with plant procedures and products in all phases of manufacturing.
  2. Must be able to cross-train with other Fibrebond manufacturing trades in order to have well-rounded knowledge of required on-site tasks (i.e. assembly, paint, electrical, mechanical, offload/setup).
  3. Must be able to write legibly and possess some technical (smart phone/tablet/computer) knowledge for expense reporting and work completion reports.
  4. Must be able to read a tape measure and shop drawings accurately.
  5. Must possess a valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record.
  6. Ability to work effectively with other employees, managers, and customers. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  7. Must possess excellent organizational skills.
  8. Good judgement and sound decision making necessary. Required to use the most cost-effective method in completing work assignment.
  9. Must possess a high degree of motivation and self-direction when working alone and unsupervised in remote areas performing assigned tasks.
  10. Due to confidential nature of a job, a high level of work ethic, honesty, integrity, and discretion is required.
  11. High school diploma or GED is required.
  12. Will be required to obtain OSHA 10 training, fall protection, boom lift, and forklift certification.
  13. Must pass drug screen
  14. Must pass criminal background check
  15. Ability to travel with overnights required

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1.     Requires wearing personal protective gear, such as protective eyewear and steel-toed boots.

2.     Required to climb ladders and work on top of buildings.

3.     Required to lift or push up to 50 pounds.

4.     Ability to use spray painter or paint manually. Must possess or be able to acquire a knowledge of mixing paints.

5.     Must be able to operate power tools such as drills, power saws, air compressors, generators, etc.

6.     Must be able to use basic hand tools (i.e. hammer, screwdriver, etc).

7.     Ability/able to acquire knowledge of working with crane operators. Knowledge of rigging and signals helpful.

8.     Exposed to noise, heat, outside work, all-weather elements, chemicals, fumes, dust and electrical current.

9.     Must be able to work around heavy moving equipment.

10.  Must be able to sit for extended of time while traveling and stand for long periods to time.

11.  Required to walk considerable distances while on project sites and stoop, crouch, and crawl in performing job duties.
