Job Summary
QLM is seeking an experienced Traveling Electrical Superintendent on behalf of a well-established, nationally recognized electrical contractor known for delivering high-profile commercial, industrial, and mission-critical projects across the United States. This organization has built a strong reputation for safety, quality execution, and its ability to successfully deliver complex, fast-paced projects in demanding environments, including data centers and large-scale infrastructure work. The Traveling Superintendent will serve as the senior on-site leader, responsible for driving field operations, maintaining high safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within scope. The ideal candidate is a proven field leader with strong technical expertise, exceptional crew management skills, and the ability to operate independently in high-stakes environments. This position requires extensive travel and the ability to mobilize quickly to support projects nationwide. This is a traveling position in which you will be paid a monthly travel allowance and per diem.

Pay Range
$145k-$185k per year
Field Leadership & Execution
- Lead day-to-day on-site operations for commercial, industrial, and mission-critical electrical projects
- Supervise and coordinate field teams including apprentices, journeymen, foremen, and subcontractors
- Execute production plans, manpower loading, and workflow sequencing
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison between Project Management, General Contractors, inspectors, and other trades
Safety & Compliance
- Promote and enforce a strong safety-first culture on all jobsites
- Conduct daily safety meetings, Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and routine site audits
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, NEC requirements, and local codes
- Proactively identify and mitigate jobsite risks
Quality & Schedule Control
- Interpret construction drawings, specifications, and electrical schematics
- Coordinate inspections, material deliveries, equipment staging, and subcontractor activities
- Monitor project progress and proactively resolve field challenges
- Maintain daily reports, field logs, and production tracking using project management software
Travel & National Support
- Travel extensively to active job sites nationwide, including extended assignments
- Support project startup, ramp-up, and critical execution phases
- Adapt quickly to new job sites, teams, and project environments
Qualifications
- 7+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience
- 3+ years in a supervisory or superintendent-level role
- Strong knowledge of NEC, OSHA standards, and industry best practices
- Proven ability to read and execute from blueprints, one-lines, and construction documents
- Experience managing large crews and coordinating multiple trades
- Proficiency with field technology platforms (Procore, PlanGrid, or similar)
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel nationwide
