Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Underground Pipefitter to install, repair, and maintain piping systems below ground level. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various pipe materials, reading blueprints, and following safety regulations for excavation and confined space work. This role involves physically demanding tasks and requires strict adherence to safety standards to ensure project quality and worker protection.

Pay Range
$28 per hour
Install, assemble, and maintain underground piping systems for water, gas, sewage, and drainage
Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings to determine pipe layouts
Excavate trenches and prepare sites for pipe installation
Cut, thread, and fit pipes using hand and power tools
Join pipes using welding, soldering, or mechanical fittings
Inspect piping systems for leaks and defects; perform necessary repairs
Coordinate with other construction trades and supervisors to ensure project timelines are met
Follow all safety protocols, including confined space and trench safety regulations
Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition
Keep accurate records of work performed and materials used
Proven experience as an underground pipefitter or similar role
Knowledge of pipefitting techniques, tools, and materials
Ability to read and understand blueprints and technical drawings
Familiarity with excavation and safety standards, including OSHA regulations
Physical stamina and strength to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
