Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Water Mitigation Specialist to join our client. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing and mitigating water damage in residential and commercial properties. This role involves responding to emergency situations, performing water extraction, drying, and dehumidification processes, and ensuring properties are restored to their pre-damage condition. This position is Temp-Perm in the Tucson area.

Pay Range
$22-$28 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency water damage situations and assess the extent of the damage.
- Water Extraction: Perform water extraction using specialized equipment to remove standing water from affected areas.
- Drying and Dehumidification: Set up and monitor drying and dehumidification equipment to ensure thorough drying of the property.
- Damage Assessment: Conduct thorough inspections to identify the source of water damage and determine the best course of action for mitigation.
- Documentation: Document all work performed, including taking photos, writing reports, and maintaining accurate records of the mitigation process.
- Customer Communication: Communicate effectively with property owners, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to provide updates and explain the mitigation process.
- Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean equipment to ensure it is in good working condition.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in water mitigation, restoration, or a related field is preferred.
- Certifications: IICRC certification in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) or Applied Structural Drying (ASD) is a plus.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
- Availability: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
