As a Welder, you will be responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal and other weldable materials by applying appropriate welding techniques. You will work on a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, and industrial applications. You will be puring argon gas and using a consumable insert. Pay Range
$40 per hour
- Certified Welder credential from the American Welding Society (AWS) preferred.
- Possess AWS ASME.
- Extensive knowledge of TIG welding processes is essential. Knowledge of other welding techniques is beneficial.
- Must pass the following weld tests:
- Socket weld – stainless steel – Tig all the way out – half inch Schedule 40 pipe – will be NDE tested – PT, RT, MT and VT
- 6g Stainless steel – Tig all the way out – 6″ Schedule 80 pipe – Will be NDE tested – PT, RT, MT and VT
- 6g Coper Inconel Pipe – Tig all the way out – 6″ schedule 80 pipe – will be NDE Tested – PT, RT, MT and VT
- 3G Structural Weld test – Stick – half inch plate – Will be bend tested
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations related to welding and fabrication.
- Understanding and application of metallurgical processes.
- Ability to handle heavy equipment and materials.
- Proficiency in English.
- Precision and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings.
- Proven experience as a welder.
- Strong knowledge of welding techniques, materials, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency with various welding equipment and tools.
- Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy objects and working in various environments.
- Certification or licensure as required by local, state, or national regulations.
- Must have reliable transportation and proper PPE.
- Read and interpret project plans, blueprints, and other written instructions and diagrams to perform the task at hand.
- Follow established safety rules and regulations and maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Verify product dimensional specifications with measuring instruments.
- Understand the various welding symbols and diagrams and use them in the fabrication process.
- Conduct tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance.
- Select, set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment, including shielded metal arc, gas metal arc, and gas tungsten arc welding.
- Perform welding operations in various positions (horizontal, vertical, overhead).
- Inspect and test welds to ensure they meet specified standards and tolerances.
- Repair broken or cracked parts, fill holes, and increase the size of metal parts.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in good working condition.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently.
