Job Summary
As a Container and Chassis Mechanic, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing containers and chassis used for the transportation of goods. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment is in optimal working condition, meeting both company and regulatory standards.

Pay Range
$24 per hour
Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of industry-related experience repairing and restructuring intermodal equipment, including containers & flat racks.
- Possess Advanced Stick and MIG welding experience.
- Knowledge of proper container repair standards and procedures.
- Ability to read, write, and speak basic English.
- Must be able to accurately process alpha/numeric information.
- Ability to function effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented work environment.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision and strong initiative.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with fellow employees.
- Ability to think logically, follow procedures, instructions and make sound decisions.
- Must be able to work (flexible hours) extended hours including nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC card within 30 days of employment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on containers and chassis, including structural repairs, welding, and electrical work.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on chassis.
- Ensure all repairs and maintenance are completed in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to troubleshoot issues.
- Document all repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities accurately.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize repairs and meet deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in technology.
