Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Electrical Estimator to join a growing electrical contractor that is actively building out its team in the Orlando market. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a new and expanding office, where you will play a key role in supporting preconstruction efforts and helping establish the estimating function as the business scales. This position offers strong growth potential for an estimator who wants to get in early, contribute to team development, and grow alongside the organization. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to support a collaborative team environment while delivering accurate and competitive estimates across a variety of electrical construction projects.

Pay Range
$130k-$150k per year
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial and infrastructure projects
- Review plans, specifications, and contract documents to determine scope and cost requirements
- Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing using industry-standard estimating software
- Assist in developing competitive bid strategies across various contract types (lump sum, GMP, unit price, etc.)
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing and ensure scope coverage
- Support the bid submission process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain organized documentation and contribute to historical cost databases
- Collaborate with project managers and field teams during handoff and project startup
Qualifications
Experience
- 5–7 years of electrical construction estimating experience
- Experience supporting projects up to $10M–$20M preferred
Technical Skills
- Familiarity with estimating software such as Accubid, Sage Estimating, or similar
- Proficiency in Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and takeoff tools
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Preferred
- Exposure to unit price work (DOT, municipal, or public projects)
- Experience with BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks) is a plus
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (preferred but not required)
