Job Summary
QLM is currently hiring Riggers for an ongoing project. The Rigger position in Taylor, TX is responsible for safely setting up, assembling, and dismantling rigging systems used to move, secure, and position heavy equipment and machinery. This role requires selecting the appropriate rigging gear based on load specifications and job conditions, while ensuring safe handling, transport, and placement of materials. Riggers must communicate effectively with operators and team members using hand signals, verbal direction, or flagging, and may assist with fabrication, equipment operation, and general site support when needed.

Pay Range
$28.00-36.00per hr
Position Responsibilities
- Set up, assemble, and dismantle rigging systems for moving heavy equipment and machinery
- Inspect and test rigging equipment to ensure safety and reliability
- Select proper rigging gear based on load size, weight, and job requirements
- Attach and secure loads using hand and power tools
- Signal and communicate with operators and crew members to ensure safe load movement
- Control and guide heavy equipment through confined spaces using rigging systems
- Manipulate suspended loads using multi-point rigging techniques
- Align, level, and anchor machinery and equipment
- Install and remove rigging components such as pulleys, blocks, and chokers
- Assist in fabrication, setup, and repair of rigging systems and support structures
- Maintain, clean, and properly store rigging equipment after use
- Operate equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts
- Maintain awareness of surroundings, obstacles, and personnel for safe operations
- Follow all OSHA regulations and company safety standards
- Perform additional duties including welding, fabrication, or warehouse support as needed

Skills & Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of rigging or machinery moving experience in construction or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of rigging equipment, load calculations, and safe lifting practices
- Ability to inspect and select appropriate rigging gear (cables, pulleys, slings, winches, etc.)
- Experience with equipment alignment, leveling, and anchoring
- Ability to read job scopes, understand site conditions, and identify hazards
- Skilled in hand signals and verbal communication for load movement and safety
- Experience operating forklifts, scissor lifts, and aerial lifts
- OSHA 10 required (OSHA 30 preferred)
- NCCER Rigging Certification (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License
- Strong teamwork, communication, and safety awareness
- Physically capable of performing demanding labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working at heights
